Stephen and Lauren Wedding Film
Their Story
Lauren’s POV: I was invited to go to a Savannah YSA (Young Single Adult) Game Party at the Price family’s house in Rincon. I was going to change my mind and not go because I was tired, but went anyways in some casual clothes, a grey beanie, and my only makeup was some mascara. My cousin and friend Catherine drove us there. We were among the first to arrive. A couple of people were already there, including Stephen. Jonathan Price had invited him to the party, leaving out the fact that it was a church YSA group being invited.
We got together at a big table and played a game (we don’t remember what it’s called) that involved challenges and a buzzer. I got a challenge where I had to “inspect everyone’s earlobes”. I was extremely anxious doing so, but thought it was hilarious and ironic because I worked at Claire’s and pierced ears. I went to every person and “inspected their earlobes”. When I got to Stephen I remember having butterflies in my stomach and blushing/getting hot. I think I spent extra time on his ears too, making silly comments about the types of earrings he’d need if he were to get a piercing. I remember watching him for a lot of the party, and in another game we were only a person apart from each other. We were too nervous to say anything to each other the whole time, except I got his name: Stephen. When Catherine and I left the party, Stephen and I smiled and waved to each other, and that night I couldn’t get him out of my head. I had to find him, so I went Facebook stalking. A few hours later I finally found him and added him, nervous he wouldn’t recognize me in my profile picture since it was so much better than how I looked at the party. But then he added me!
It took 2 to 3 days for us to say anything to each other and the way we did it was kinda funny. He made a Facebook post saying “How come every time I meet a cute girl, I can’t get the nerve to talk to her?” so I commented, “you should shoot your shot! you never know what she’ll say” and a few comments later he asked me out on a date!! We started messaging each other and have talked every day since then.
We became official November 30, 2020, and that alone is its own riveting tale.
