2024 AMELIA ISLAND CONCOURS D’LEMONS
In this video, we follow a diverse group of car enthusiasts showcasing their uniquely modified vehicles at the Concord & LeMons event. Jeff Rowe introduces his one-of-a-kind “Booney Bug,” built from a 1960 Volkswagen Combi chassis, featuring a mobile chalkboard concept for kids to draw on. We also meet other passionate car owners like Dan Scanlon, who shares the story of his 1988 Alfa Romeo Milano Verde, and Bill from North Carolina, who proudly presents his 1977 Trabant, a quirky East German car with a two-cylinder engine. The event features everything from restored classics like a 1965 Volkswagen Split Window Bus to custom projects like a 1990 GMC School Bus turned into a party machine. Along the way, attendees share their personal stories, from nostalgic restorations to fun modifications, and compete for awards in categories such as “Rust Belt American Junk” and “Best Back Seat” for a Chrysler PT Cruiser limousine. Despite the rain, the event celebrates the spirit of car culture, creativity, and camaraderie.
